A Clamp connection (also known as Tri-Clamp or Tri-Clover) is a sanitary, tool-free connection used to join valve ends and pipes in hygienic systems.
How Does It Work?
Two ferrule ends (fitted to the valve and pipe) are aligned with a gasket placed in between. A clamp ring is then tightened around the joint, compressing the gasket to create a secure, leak-proof seal. The entire assembly can be quickly opened or reconnected by hand.
Why Is It Used?
Fast assembly and disassembly without tools
Hygienic design with smooth, crevice-free surfaces
Suitable for CIP (Clean-In-Place) and SIP (Sterilise-In-Place)
Reduces contamination risk and maintenance time
Common Uses:
Pharmaceutical and biotech production
Food and beverage systems (e.g., breweries, dairies)
Personal care and cosmetics manufacturing
Laboratory and cleanroom applications
