The 401N Double Offset Butterfly Valve is engineered for demanding applications, particularly within the shipbuilding and petrochemical industries. Its bubble-tight sealing capability makes it an excellent choice for both shut-off and flow-control duties involving aggressive liquids or gases. The valve body is available in WAFER configuration, featuring four centering holes to ensure accurate alignment between flanges, or in LUG configuration with threaded lugs for installations where the valve may be used as a foot valve. Its double-offset disc design provides superior performance in both throttling and open/close operations. By offsetting the disc in two planes, the valve achieves reduced friction, improved sealing efficiency, and a rotational moment that eliminates disc flutter or instability during operation. Maintenance is simplified through a design that allows the stem and seat to be replaced without fully disassembling the valve or removing it from the pipeline, ensuring efficient in-line servicing and reduced downtime.
